YES IT SORTA IS THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN, in so much that the year is almost over and i missed Anti-Hero week which according to the last comic strip was in October, but its OK, cause anti heros are all about not really wanting to do things when they have to so it makes sense that that the week can occur at different months in the year as long as it happens once in the year..... right?

REGARDLESS here we are the 7 day commitment to publish one hero & one sorta sidekick/ love interest (which ever suits better) a day in Odd socks form. SO to get us started here is my interpretation of PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!

you ever noticed how Keria Knightley cant quite close her mouth even when its closed....i have, its like a constant pout..

However whilst putting that little collage together to show you, i did remind me of just how good looking she actually is... VERY.

I recently heard our resident hoby dog and Rover has been worrying sheep... hes such a friendly and calm dog i can only imagine that it looks something like this.

However on a serious note he was tied up the other day but now he isn't and i haven seen him in a week or so, i am genuinely worried... and am afraid to ask around where he is.... i really hope he legged it or summit

There has been an influx of drawings lately due to the sheer amount of paper in my room and iv been getting up earlier to start my lesson plan for class and as a result end up drawing first thing in the moring before setting out to do that, which is good! of course.

However this lesson plan thing no matter how much i try, much like all those essays i did in college, has always ended up as a night before job... i just cant think till im under serious pressure apparently... suck dunnit.

Also if your wondering what H.O.A.M.N. means .....keep wondering the answers will be revealed some day.

Nice one post one hundred... here's a picture of how much this blog has aged me...(nothing to do with the alcohol and bad living...not at all)

I think i need to revamp my life again get back on track for awhile, i may have fallen into this sorta lazy, watch tv eat and sleep pattern and all with this sense of i deserve a break, from what im not entirely sure and i think the feeling has worn off very suddenly and its definitely time to start making projects again.
After nothing is more distracting from bad habits then ridiculous obsession!

I read a few webcomcics, i like comics, i often try to make webcomics...you have noticed...i think my problem is consistency.... i think im tyring to get across to many levels. Im looking for the insight of "XKCD" mixed with the picturesque quality of middle era "Questionable Content" and the overall random humour and lack of storyline of "The Magnificent Whatever"

I realise all these contradict and each other on various levels for example half the humour of the latter is in the simplistic drawings with hilarious expressions. Similar in that of XKCD half the joke go over my head but the way its draw only compliments that, and as for QC the consistent storyline is hard enough without the extra detail in backgrounds, characters and colouring.

The one thing they do all have in common however is consistency and regularity...im more of if something happened to me today, and i remember , and i have time, and im sitting near my computer, and have pens, and have the drive, and keep up the drive to then finish work and upload....THEN you might get a web comic or picture more then likely not really consistent to any other picture previous random or personal. BUT if you look at it as really you have a chance,withen a chance,withen a chance,withen a chance,withen a chance,withen a chance,withen a chance of actually seeing a picture here... so that a chance by 7 and thats kinda special....

thats how i feel sometimes....

...want to ask a question.

The teaching life is not so bad, sure i only have to do it one day a week and it should tied me over till i get a real job, so i can move out of my parents house...and start paying real amounts of money towards bills, accepting real responsibility and go back to eating budget dinners......hmmmmmm maybe not.
Well as ar as things have been with the class so far im really learning what its like to teach a group of 8-12 yr olds for 2 and half hours a week and all things considered there a fairly good class and quite well behaved, with some exceptions. but it would be wrong of me to go into details, and in the end im sure people would tell me its not the students who failed the teacher but the teacher who failed the students to which i reply FAIL! i didn't even know i was grading them!

The program we are currently working with is "Scratch" developed by MIT to give people a first hand easy grasp in primarily computer programming and then animation. I originally was not pushed on it when i started using it BUT im actually having a lot of fun with it now, ya get kinda into it.....now some of the kids they get it some dont quite but get there and others or past there, so i have to start devising two lesson plans.... on the AWESOME SIDE OF THINGS I CAN USE THE GAMES I MAKE AS APPLETS SO YOU CAN PLAY THEM NOW!

In other work related news i got to do some of my beloved editing again, this time for Alice Hallidays Fashion Model work stuff.... Rosa asked if i would edit a behind the scenes lookbook from the footage recorded at the photo shoot and of course i agreed, so in addition to fixing up two calling card clips and a behind the scenes video, i also may get to go to the shoot next time, which means hanging out with some models, yay!.... its not as impressive as it sounds.

Now the actual lookbook has yet to be launched and the calling cards i made or more a less teasers , so for now i will give you the first one...

Rosa tells me the music it to porny but im thinking of it as sensual, a word im very uncomfortable saying.

In addition to this clip i have a nice little promo i cut together for Miss Rosa O herself which is very nice.

And cause i always wanna plug my home girls work here's her "Practical Magic" makeup video, set at x5 as requested!

Iv mentioned before how its crazy how in the cold climit of this country, some girls can go around in such little attire, not that i am in any way complaining, Kudos Girls, Kudos! But even in summer the weather can be so very cold, BUT HALLOWEEN ITS BLOODY FREEZING! which is why Halloween further re-enforces the fact that some Irish girls have a serious tolerance for cold, even in October they will were the skimpyist costumes, KUDOS GIRLS KUDOS

I fell I should mention this update...it would appear my teaching career has taken off slightly or at least in a small, new and nerve racking exciting way, for i every Saturday for the next8 weeks (excluding midterm) will be teaching a class of 24, gifted 8-12 yr olds, Computer Programming and animation. this feat is small in the sense that the children are.... new in that, excluding a coincidental lesson i did on animation at my old school last week, I have never taught a class this big or for cash before, and nerve racking as in the sense that gifted children may be running rings around me in the first day of this class....needless to say more will be known on the day
...also I get an assistant.
Also in the midst of all this im doing tests for boulder media, in the hopes of getting there compositing position. I just finished the last of the four test so now i need to send them away,
For copyright infringement on pain of death or debt i can not disclose information, images or clips of the tests i was doing, as it was made really clear to me i be in big twouble if i did. So wish me luck on that i guess......
I have music videos to make too... need to get to work on them too, though i rally should spend this week sorting my syllabus for the kids.
All in all it adds up to one thing, i need to get back to the city iv been home to long and the past three weeks of minding my house for my parents has re sparked my independence and this village is just a little too quiet and small for the winter, also all my mates moved to Dublin to do masters and what not.

I really like it.

SUMMER SAGA 2011

ok i kinda forgot to update the blog at all these past months, but you know thats the summer full of interruptions and other distractions. So before the blow by blow account of what exactly went down this summer il give you the professional feed, for example my finished film....

So i finaly finnished my bussiness card heres what the detail part looks like, and yes the website is done, just not fully fitted yet looks lovely though... i need to get back to fixing that.

...and the front of the card is quite nice to, seemed wrong not to intergrate my old robot friend into the process...

so then i figure "Hey now my films Done after 10 months total, lets have look at how it all started" so this is an example of my 3d skills prior to all this maddness..

We went to many parties and one time on the way hom, i met a horse...

I had beeen on to my folks they should get a dog again, mianly cause of how much i like dogs, they said no, but it was ok cause then ROVER came, the local hobo dog . iv spent a odd ammount of time hanging out with rover this summer, he calls to the house usally bout 2ish.

He also follows me into the pub.....

Then theres my friends new dog Yuki who is just tiny doggy so TINY... i fear were getting off the point

sometimes i would get bored at work and someone made the mistake of leaving me with chalk....that stayed on taht wall for days, tho compares nothing to the mural i did when i was bored, on the pier wall..which peoople kept leaning on causing there clothes to be an array of multi colour chalk

Then i went to Galway which looked a bit like this...

..and finally as to be exppected like this wehn let loose in the park...

All inall alot of fun....

THen Ciara came home YAY!

..and in no time she was back to protecting my sleeping corpse...

Then the Rabler 100 the world record holding yacht capsized at the fasnet and a big rescue was commenced...but i was more interesteed in the giant bubble i blew, even though all the above was happing behind me...

Baltimore crabs and lifeboat had a charity match, I made the poster but was working so i couldnt go...dang

Then Aisling came home and we all wnt to the beach....

But we had no warth so we broke some fire wood...

...and then we had FIRE!

Then there was the Pre-cocktail party before the final Open mic night...

Rosa played her Yuk and we sang "MO MO JITO!"

I made the cocktails....

and everyone else seemed to enjoy it too

Then it was on to the last open mic night and thus the busiest

..Then the chicken got loose...

...it proved most difficult to capture the bastard to... there was an interesting ammount of hunting it through neighbours gardens, me billy and kevin the frenchman.

Then WE CAUGHT IT FINALLY!

..and we stood in our victory poses, chicken and all.

Finally there was the big dinner party only recently passed, Ger cooked...

..Ciara was there..

..as was Lorin...

... and Rosa and Cat, we wnt to the pub then...

Currently reliving my childhood, as all my old micro machines have been released from a their attic prison, for the entrainment of a 1year old and 3 year old my mother now babysits.
In other news i have a degree, this makes me happy...but i don't have a job exactly, i do have a job but its nothing to do with my degree, I'm back on the ferries, this makes Rosa unhappy, she thinks i could get stuck in village life forever she could be right... In fact the we reckon its very possible il just keep working on the ferry, actually marry my 3 wife Ciara, who will become an alcholic and continue to pay visits to my friend Neal's, leaving our three children, two of which look like me the other holding a uncanny resemblance to there "Uncle Neal", alone to fend for themselves, while i continue to talk about how "i use to be an animator" wile just resigning myself to village life.......BY THAT STAGE I BETTER AT LEAST HAVE MY PHOTO IN ONE OF THE PUBS!

In Progressive news my website will be up soon, il keep writing this blog, the website il try to direct to a more professional standard...with little to no humour, except for its name. We were gonna call it EoinDevlin.com ....but a last min change it became Skuzzz.com left some ppl tinkling, really? whilst others go alright! CONTROVERSY EH...anyway hopefully that will be lausncesd this weekend.

I have finished my film, but now that im home im gonna overhaul the whole thing so you the public im afraid will have to wait a little longer for its release , but you can watch the show reel if your really interested.

My eyes hurt, iv hardly slept in days and iv a final year film due in just under 34 hours...and i am loving everylast moment of it, there is nothing quite like the adrenline rush of racing aginst time and still feeling strongly enough about a project that you will obsess over detail every step of the way, it shows you are still i love with what your doing, AND I DO LOVE THIS FILM, evey bit of it presnents new elements and perhaps the submitted version may come off a tiny bit crude the real exibition version , will be something else...

I am here to show you some stills of my film in its full on mental ray rendered version.

I rendered the first 5 seconds last night, i actually need to re render those 5 seconds because i shot through the wrong camera and i need to up date the environment BUT it was a good test to see about the timing issue...1Hour Rendering = 5 seconds of animation...well 120frames of targa images at 1280x720 HD on Full MentalRay...to be exact. anyway thats not terrible by the time iv all my scenes ready to go it should only take 33hours to render!.....hmmmmm

ANYWAY her are some Production stills there quite nice and shiny, ENJOY!

WELCOME To THIS SPECIAL LOW BUDGET EDITION OF "WE FIGHT CRIME"...by low budget really what i mean is instead of no money i have no time, so i cannot put specific effort, right now, into this whole thing, i apologise, HOWEVER i do feel bad about not being around for you so i have thrown together all i can. its a mix of the real life work i do the procrastination i work at in my little spare item and the sketching i do at night to keep me sane and vent...vent what nothing really. so i finished another character in my film, hes very minor but he needed to be made so let me introduce "Mr Robot Arm"..

Hes a fun loving raver on tracks and yes i stole this idea from that Picasso add a few years back. this little guy has even already stared in his own Shameless plugging, "SHAMELESS PLUGGING 5,enter the newsroom"

there was a really big St.Bernard dog called Cooper where i lived, we got him to drag my friend Rosa and Anja around in a fish box once, like a chariot...it was hilarious, then he looked like he was gonna have a heart attack... dammit the cycle has occurred

im sorry this is me staling cause all i have to give you really is some stick man stuff i thre together and im not proud of how quick i threw them together for you although i am enjoying writing this post immensely. thers so much rambling going on..ok here it goes, i find stick man drawings very unoffensive in that the can never really portray the full range of human emotion, there rather passive by nature, you could take a serious moment or horrific scene but as long as its portrayed in stick men, its rather disarming...they should use stick men in some sort of therapeutic practise.

AS animators the phrase 10 mins is used alot which can mean anytimne up to the next day, its the law,we mess with nature and physics,we litrally can take an hour on one second, learning every frameand as a result we have seen deep into the nothingness of eternity, our consousness stitching itself into the very fabric of time, our minds a patch in the quilt of the continumen so that our very perception of time is altered...that and we are seriouly pron to procrastination...nut wyou try sitting at a computer all ay with a direct connection to EVERYHTING IN THE WORLD..

i like drawing explosions and stuff, its very dramatic

there quite crude yes but iv been woring on my gestural stuff lately getting force in ther and stuff.

i like drawig boxers cause you have to work out the antisipation in it first and try and give a sencse of where he going with this

more practise of girls, i still cant do a proper job with the faces but give mne time im alread getting better at them in general, someday i=l tackle hyperrealism in the form of pinup. i like the back kick it took some figuring its still ot right but slowly bit by bit we get there

and her she is just stabing some guy. Note she came in with knee bith cracking his leg and droping him low enough to jerk his head back and STAB MOHHAHAAH. sorry

okay so i spent most of this week getting my model right and ready for rigging, which i hopefully will have done this week which means it will be time to start animating, awesome. I also have a portfolio meeting on Wednesday at 2pm, at which time i will confirm the bulk of my work and then probably post it up for you all, but well see how it goes. since its all business this week all can do is give you some stills of my new model..on with the captions

itsnt he lovely and glowy, and now some montage of angles and close ups..

i really like this one the glow is all done in maya not post production...in case you were wondering....

so in comparison to my last model its more accurate although it did lose some of its innocence
He had become to boxy or summit, i couldn't quite figure it? SO....

I put the two next to each other to see if i could make some small changes to get some of that cuteness back

ANd after 5 quick revisions all a little different of the orignal we fixed the problem, its proportions
(1, 2, 3, 4, 5...there are 5 robots)

bigger wrists and lower legs, thiner shoulders slightly smaller chest..all the elements needed to make him a tad more friendly...now all i gotta do is add the nasty little detail bits like screws and real colour.

but its good for now

I never added this last time, i was asked to help my neighbour back home throw together a quick add for her class, in what i assume was advertising, i didn't actually ask alot of questions anyway it was one of those projects that i sorta threw together in one night and any longer would have been eating into my time, but i used it as an excuse to test some new effects soooo i was ok and it was a little while back when i had a tad more time on my hands, also her brief was very specific WHICH HELPS MASSIVELY ANY COMPANIES WHO HAPPEN TO READ THIS, WE CAN SAVE WEEKS OF STRESS IF WE JUST GET OUR PLAN IN ORDER!...anyway....

pretty good work for one night..if you forget the massive music copyright infringement which was requested.

Finally a story form Brighton.
On my first night out i went a bit mad, you know new city, good vibes , cheap shots...bad combination or good? well when we were coming back form the club i was pretty...merry.. and so decided to run back to the house which amazingly i found... i dont really remember this BUT i was informed it was something like this. "Ya you sort of took off running, and when we shouted that you didnt know where it was, you started shouting ELEVEN! back at us and continued to shout it as you went up the road which is actually is our house number and ya when we got up you were there, but you were also getting sick in a gutter, but it actually was quite impressive"

...i like to point out although i got sick i was up at 10 the next morning working whilst one of the girls couldn't get out of bed for 2 days..

SO here is everything iv done since i got my time back.

so back to real life, my friend Lorin came to visit which was fun. He was on his way to France to visit his girlfriend who funnily enough is one of my many wives. WE watched the BFG which we handnt seen in years and then i drew him this...

i think its pretty good perhaps i should have gone for a career in troll illustration...or not
Lorin and I also spent much of are time discussing Brittish model Daisy Lowe..and here gangely red head boyfriend...who similtaniously provokes thoughts "how the hell did you get her?" and " WOW your sort of an inspiration for us all"..its very confusing.

Also after Lorin left i went to my Rag week one night only to see a girl who looked identical to his girlfriend except smaller and slightly punk, when i told him this he said i should go out with her so we would have matching girlfriends which i though was hilarious and replayed AWESOME Too, when i tell other people that story before i can tell them my reaction they go " WEIRD" and i sorta neglect to tell them my enthusiasm for it..

Also i learnt that fire is actively seeking out children to kill them, or at least according to a box of matches i found it would seem that way,il investigate It further

THE BIG UPDATE! CHAP 1 THE PAST

I have a pain in my arm...odd, anyway its official, upon my wall is pinned a list, an important list, the list know as " GETTING MY LIFE IN ORDER" list. Yes it has been some time since we last wrote, after the thesis, chaos of a good nature ensued and millions of distractions took place not to mention 3 unplanned trips away form work.

WARNING THIS IS A LONG BLOG I SO IM GONNA SPLIT IT INTO THREE EASY TO READ BITS THIS IS ...........

CHAPTER 1- THE PAST............

so lets look back, straight after the thesis hand in i was on a bus home or almost home, to my friends graduation it looked a little like this....

WE had fun and now it was time to work, except it wasn't, next i ended up in Dingle for a the day visiting a friend with friends it looked like this....

and we also had time todo my Crannog Cribs moment...

After all this it would seem my life was gonna be back on track, with the workload ever growing and time ever slipping away, although this is not all that had "slipped", apparently a trip i booked to Brighton with my friend had also slipped my mind... il be honest i was uncomfortable with the situation, i needed to start back into work soon or else id be getting into trouble, i countered this by bringing my laptop to England with me and actually did manage to get some work done while over there, quite a bit in fact, more importantly i found Brighton, ahh Brighton, instant swooning occured. This in it self is quite a story. Firstly, a friend of mine once talked about falling in love with a city or a place, but i never really got it, i kinda did, i understand really liking a place and things, but know i get it. I LOVE BRIGHTON, its consuming, honestly i didnt want to leave and it wasnt as if something spectacular happened there or that theres anything particularly amazing about the whole place, it just got me. Il give you my list of findings...

1) Brighton is next to the sea and is Small enough that everything is in walking distance

2) Alcohol is available 24hours a day

3) THe scene is kinda arty which i normally wouldnt go for but its just unpretentious enough that i can fit in quite well as an animator

4) Its very clean

5) The people from my experience are really nice and laid back, im talking about the day to day folk, police, bus drivers and shop and bank ppl, unlike Ireland and more so Dublin these people were genuinely pleasant and not DISGRUNTLED AND SARCASTIC.

6) The girls, Aw man!

7) A Massive lack of thug like or even remotely unpleasant fighty types case in point i walked through Brighton with agreen hula hoop over my shoulder all the way to the beach and not one person looked at me funny or said anything, try that in Dublin.( my brother did point out this might have something to do with it being the gay capital of the UK, but ..nih.

we hung out and drank and had a generally good time and on Sunday we went to London

we also went to the Tate Modern for awhile were we saw these...

all handcrafted in Porcelain at Chinese workshops all identical and yet unique as it said BUT WAIT THERES MORE ...

We also spent most of the day on the Tube as i adapted to London life..

Then a trip to Harods to see everything in the world i cant afford which made me want to be rich and wear a suit...which was very strange in itself. The next day i went home which pretty much brings us up to date with this week.

I went half way home the other day for my friends graduation, after i met my brother for lunch where we talked about his upcoming wedding ( i use the term upcoming loosely as its still far off), among the talk we discussed my granny whom we have mentioned her before the one who refuses to age or at least acknowledge it. we eventually decided that those long walks she takes are actually trips to beat death in his own game , which we figured would look like something out of Ingmar Bergmans The Seventh Seal

AH there four persona's, a truly narcissistic concept. These four men are different yet the same, as they are all me. Depending on the situation i have created four different sides to myself i dnt often use them but sometimes there fun to have so without further craziness let me tell you something about them.

Ah Me, as in real me as in the one we see, who knows really how to describe him, paragon of society, quixotic master, the Custos Morum...sap...or as his business card states, ANIMATOR/ILLUSTRATOR/COMPOSITOR.... lets leave figuring that guy out for the obituaries.

NEXT IN LINE, The Daring, Devilish, Dandy of the modern world, the prince of cats, The Homme Fatal..that's right Rouel Del Fuego.
Rouel is the charming one, he usually shows up if iv had a few drinks and happen to be wearing a suit. He is also responsible for four of my five wives.

NEXT OH DEAR.. The king of underworld, A man with no morals no qualms no real emotions not much to say save for his catchphrase " i don know wha hit iz, but im gonna fuck it"...yes its Bruce Deep. STAR OF "One Minute on the Stairs" and the Christmas hot "SNOW PLOW" The XXX star is a bit of enigma..or perhaps there just ain't that much there.

My apologies to you all the 5 members of my audience! I was having a moment and upon reading back on those last few entries i have realised the level of "moody" is in the lower red zone SOOOOO LETS BRING THIS BACK.

Firstly to the 3 ppl this week who rang me concerned about my well being, one thinking me capable of a suicidal tendency to which i replied WHAT! im fine thank you, was a Little overtired and overstretched but nothing a good sleep couldn't fix, also suicidal tendencies over trivial emotion matters or the things of fourteen year old silly boys, i like to think iv progressed on from that in the years since my "fourteen year old silly boy" phase, also in the actual event of an earth shattering event capable of making me feel something of that magnitude, my first course of action is to go live in a trailer park in middle America sniffing glue all day and hunting cats for money whilst flirting with the girl with the bleached hair and no eyebrows down the street...basically i want to be in Gummo it seems like a simpler life.

NOW it also occurred to me that if i dont blog and comic then all that work that was overloading me ,till gave it a swift progressive kick to nuts, would in fact overwhelm me, AS this really is my outlet so without further a....is it adew? anyway
ON WITH THE COMIC.

Here is a rather embarrassing incident that happened to me once...i dont know why im sharing it with you... but anyway.

Got an add to make, as well as thesis, a final year film and many other little things to keep up with, in fact i may be rather fucked soon to put it bluntly and the pus side its all very distracting form a personal life i currently wish i didnt have so yes indeed. also night time has become my enemy. i use to love the night but its turned on me lately, in the day i now work quite well and am distracted little but at night my brain starts to flicker and crazy out... think i might have to start doing normal things to make my self sleepy after the day like exercise...or summit

Its a typical story really Boy meets girls, Boy lives with girl for year with other people, Boy starts secret year and a half relationship with girl, Boy loses girl with much confusing? Where did he put her? hohoh kidding little humour never hurt, but seriously Boy was crippled for like half an hour. He argued with universe claiming it owed him and to kick a man when hes down What with thesis on his mind too, was most disagreeable. He spoke with God, but God wasn't in and he figured that going to God might be a bit much anyway then he had his Epiphany! IT WAS LIE, the epiphany not the Boy Girl situation, a very simple lie that the Boy told himself over and over in his mind and made materialise through PURE WILL POWER! He clung to the lie, the lie was good the lie was comforting, and the lie allowed him to make steps forward, For the lie became a plan....

My lectures always told me to be more ambitious.... although they rarely really pay attention. everything they have to say can be covered by a pre written template, they don't even bother to change the he to she for the girls, you could get two reports exactly the same in comment and score and still come out with a C while the other is A, i get straight B's not bad not good...but in my college B's the new A so i guess thats somthing.

~Right generally speaking I'm god awful at drawing girls, i always wanted to draw pin ups that didn't either look like men, or just crazy... but it wasnt to be. i over exaggerate the wrong bits and shoulders always elude me and end up manly and once you lose the frame thats it, its a man in drag. i almost got it before in second year college, when i was doing a presentation based on a verse of a poem, the pictures i did get Rights weren't terrible,BUT i was accused by a battle axe of feminist in my class that my work resembled that of a 13 year old hentai obsessed puberty stricken boys fantasy.... and other harsh things. i dislike presentations, she did not help this. It was a very fine art project anyway and the one picture i went a little sleep deprived mental on was my reinterpretation of Manet's Olympia( we studied allot of Impressionism for the Leaving Cert). i totally photoshoped the whole picture into a weird Goth look. It was my lectures favourite piece....typical... that's why i quickly swithced to the centre piece of my project instead of the one i originally intended.

And my take on it. It is the original picture by the way i just put nail polish and lipstick on her. As for the items of clothing they come from whatever picture i happened to have on my computer at the time. Those arm bits are Rhonas sleeves from Final Fantasy 8, Rosa that's your skirt, the leggings are actually Colin Smiths Sleeves, that's my bowler hat... i cant remember where the top came from.

So anyway i think i had a mini break through tonight. Iv been practising allot of Everything lately and my drawing is beginning to settle back into its old comfortable way. So i think i found the style i work best with to keep the girl looking like a girl. I was so happy i rendered out a load of different shades and versions to test what way works best. This could be a new era of style for me in the shading department.

My house mate likes to use the term accidental racism, i think its possibly the best term for overly unoffensive people like me, sometimes i wonder is the whole word a PC gone mad mob just waiting to jump on me the moment i accident say something in the wrong terms... like people who are "mentally challenged" and a hundred people jump up and shout YOU CANT SAY THAT!or is it one of those just a few people make such a big deal situations you have to accommodate its not that I'm disagreeing but they change their minds so often its hard to tell i remember when it was refereed to as "special". Its the same with black people(can i say black)i know i cant say half cast from the great Half cast debate that has been going on for about 10 years between Rosa and Billy with guest appearances from others along the way...its mixed race apparently.

I wonder though is it really racism if it has no negative and hateful connotations are associated with the word you use..like if you dont say it with hate or the inntention of hate , just purely descripitive ..im a white male i will never understand this i accept.....moving on

Its funny how these moments of Overly Political correctness can cause us to do strange things, like when my friend Will went to the canteen to get coffee one day, and upon standing next to a black man in the at the counter was afraid to pick up any Brown sugar. He came back and told us..........

"I wanted to get some brown sugar for my coffee, but there was a black guy standing next to me, so I was afraid to."

Or the time i thought i saw a truck driving itself down a hill and only later realised it was a very Dark man in a very dark blue boiler suit in a badly lit cab of so it looked like no one was in it... that was a confusing day.

Also have you ever had one of those conversations where your trying to describe some one (this happens with midjets too although people dont seem to get so PC about the little people, whom im closer related to then any other group)and you say height eh hair colour general appearence all in the effort to avoid saying skin colour. it usally ends in " oh ..the Black guy," and your like "ya eh...can we say that"

you it amazes me the stuff you can find on the Internet, it really does and i ain't talking about weird shit like.... well your sickest imaginings i guess, im talking "How the hell IS THAT on the Internet" case in point while doing some research last year i got bored, as i do, and started looking up stuff on my grandad and lo and behold i ended up with a picture of my mother on her wedding day, That's over 28years ago, a better son might have the actual time frame..AHEM DAVID, BUT seriously weird. there was also some of my granny and grandad.

A funny story bout my grandmother, in my eyes she is a sort of "socialite", i mean the women is in her late 80s and drinks, smokes walks miles a day and still drives SHE GETS OUT MORE THEN I DO. Anyway although il double check this for you, every year she comes down to Baltimore for the summer from Dublin, and she pretty much goes to our family Doctor down here, and gets any pills she needs, so after a summer of doing or something she goes back home to Dublin, up to her doctors to get more pills. Apparently the Doctor hadn't seen her in so long he thought she was dead! HO that grandmother of mine.

Yes folks you heard right but dont get to excited yet, i have commenced side work on the WE FIGHT CRIME pilot, the object being to find a easy and limited animation method to make small episodes, since i haven't quite mastered it yet Yul have to wait awhile, also since the animation is limited the scripting will have to be better, that's why weve brought in my old other half Miss Ospina to rejoin my efforts and help me write some new material for it, Awesome. anyway for your pondering her are two intro clips yet to be pieced together with the rest but i cant give it all away just yet

1. I will no longer lend large sums of money to Friends, family are strangers. This includes buying anything from friends, family or strangers out of charity... in my experience it doesn't matter what your relationship with someone is if you intend to keep it that way don't lend money...or you to will still be looking for 140 euros after two years....disgraceful.

2. I will not lend my phone to a drunk girl no matter how desperate she seems, Cruel? i don't think so after last time the girl forgot i lent her my phone after two mins and then hurled it at her boyfriend...im lucky its such a brick of a mobile and it sustained minimal damage.

I ordered some free business cards from MOO cause i know IL have to get some at the end of the year for the fourth year showing so i thought id check em out.
These are them, i wanted them to be cool but then i put to much stuff on them and they look to busy so i took it back a bit...anyway tell me what YOU think. also as an animator i reserve the right to put lots of pictures and designs on my cards as each one then becomes a mini showcase.

I was watching The Shinning with one of my house mates last night. There is a point in that movie, and i assure you im not racist although this may make it sound like i am, where the cook looks just like ET, its cause hes in a snowmobile which makes him all jerking and unbalanced like ET and his big hood elongates his head...and hes very wrinkly LIKE ET... it was just after i said this to my house mate, and she agrees, that the next scene has the weird kid doing his ranting redrum routine AND HE SOUND JUST LIKE ET WHEN ET FREAKS OUT!
Its Common practise between animators and film makers to break each others balls by relating each others ideas to something already done... to my knowledge there isnt a single original idea left in the world, or so people would have ya believe " oh your films got Robots, must be like WallE"...that ones a little personal. So Mr. Spielberg hmmmm, i was gonna through in a clip of Et just to prove my point but unfortunately it appears any copy's of the original slow jerky boy in a costume ETs no longer exists, only the HORRIBLE smooth moving over acting CGI ET, which really annoyed me so in addition to the ET= Cook/annoying Boy clip i threw on another clip from the shinning that is quite similar to a Spielberg production.

As My Friend RIRA would say " Ya thats eh really like that scene from Jurrasic park isnt it.

I just set up proper Broadband in the new house, so no more having to use the college Internet or silly dongles, I'm FREE!.....next step declaring myself a small country.

I like my new house in which i live with three girls. My room is big enough to fit computer desk and bed, the essentials. The walls are thick enough i don't hear neighbours which means neighbours don't hear me and the never ceasing typing and scribbling noises which go on into the late hours of night right through to the early hours of the mourn... or my lesbian rock music... actually keeping that a little quiet from the house mates too.
What i like about the girls in my house, apart form them being sound and easy to get on with, is they keep asking me my opinion about various dresses and clothes they want to wear going out. I even got to tease my friend about the "Wonder Bra Incident" oh but thats another story for another time.
Also its fun being the only boy, i get to do MANLY things, like pretending i understand electronics.. or even to degree electricity and harnessing it, staring at a wall for 5mins followed by "hmmm not sure about that", and of couse the all important pretending i know and can vouch for boys everywhere, in any discussion, cause they do seem to ask alot of questions about us as a mass gender.... i am deffinitly not the poster boy for manly men everywhere, unless its the real type of manly man who scrathes his arse all day, smells a little and wears a tea stained vest... cause i could be that guy with a little more practise...or is it les practising to obtain that level, i could get a better beer belly.

Summer Work

Here is some off the work i didn't get a chance to to put up over the summer months, mainly favours i did...could hardly call them comissions, ya see when ya do favours for people and they turn out shit its cool cause there happy that you tried, when your commissioned to do something a certain level of professionalism is expected. Honestly i should do everything with professionalism for my own improvement but in the summer time can go a bit against me i do my best work under pressure, or immediately after its issued anything inbetween gets slightly neglected. also sometimes the sheer amount of requests when i get home is too much and some of the content is just silly, now if i started chagrining i bet alot of people stop bugging me, but in the actual event that i did start charging how much should i charge???

My aunt has been onto me to bring this young Austrian girl out...i agreed when i had time i would introduce her to some people. its funny when my Aunt was taking about it she kept sayin " oh shes very pretty and funny, but she doesn't know anyone" and other things along these lines. i dont know why but the way she went on i thought ok this girl sounds like shy or lonely in a strange village....The girl is mental and she knows plenty of people, when i introduced myself to her she was brimming with confidence and as the night went on it was very clear that in no way was my help ever needed. but thats a good thing.

In other news my animation workload is piling up.....although its all small stuff for different people...i should really learn to charge, that stop em. for example a women i know wants me to skecth a cartoon of her and her dog Daisy...this is actually one of the ones i dont mind doin, i need to practise my dog drawings, the last time i drew them was a rush job for tidy towns and dog fouling, they are aweful.

I finally moved home for the summer.Also i had been in France for two weeks at the Anneccy Animation Festival, which was class....Anyway although i sent things home in a car before this holiday i had left some small things in the apartment as i would be calling in there one before i went back west...i say small things and they were, i just underestimated how many small things there were, the end result being to heavy rucksacks and a bin bag full of blankets. on top of all this i had a final house inspection due the next day so the plan was...
CLEAN HOUSE
DISPLAY HOUSE,
LUG GEAR TO BUS STATION,
SIT ON BUS FOR 6 HOURS,
COLLAPSE INTO BED,
GET UP AT 9 FOR WORK BACK HOME
ETC

in brief it was not as straight forward as i had hoped. the house, now cleaner then when i got it, was subjected to a rather... confidence destroying inspection.. confidence destroying for the house not me. The women inspecting kept saying things like "Ya, its a rather tired house isn't it" and "Well its not as bad as a lot of places", NOT AS BAD! ITS GOD DAMN AMAZING CONSIDERING THE QUALITY AND AGE OF SOME OF THE APPLIANCES( Our washing machine had actually flooded the lower apartment the week before due to the plumber, who was fixing the non existent pressure heating system we've been lack all winter, forgetting to plug a valve in after he had looked at it) evertyhing she said was a comment on things that cant be helped, but in a way that was my doing, like "oh the rug has a lot of stains,but that's on the wear and tear from before...but it does have a lot of stains" YOU JUST TOLD ME I DIDN'T STAIN IT AND FURTHER MORE I KNOW O DID NT STAIN IT! at one point she asked to lift a bed upstairs which i could barely do it was so heavy and on seeing under it said oh it quite dusty there, WHAT!? how the hell am i supposed to lift THAT and hoover... should have refused due to back problems or summit....im sorry im ranting now. well she took 150 from my deposit and you can bet your ass i rang her to find out just why at which point it was revealed they made a mistake and that a further 100 would be returned, YOUR DAMN RIGHT IT WILL!
So then the walk through town.I missed my bus by about 1 minute LITERALLY, so i had to go get the other bus an hour later( not the worst thing, a bit of a walk tho) When your mainly made of bags people tend to shout stuff at you...mainly taxi drivers, and for some reason you become a target for people looking for money for a samwedge.
IN the end i did get home although i had to catch two buses and one was two hours after the other so i ended up traveling from 12noon till 1030 that night, and i was very tired after.
It wasnt till the end of the next week that i actually gathered the strength to move rooms, i blame the sea air it wrecks ya ya need at least a week to climatise to it...or how ever you describe getting used to the sea. Moving in itself was an ordeal because even though you were able to fit the things in your room into your room one upon a time, they somewhere along the line expand just enough that it almost impossible to make them leave the room, its like kidz clinging to doors so as not to go to school...that bed just really does not want to fit through my doorway.
At least im home i guess.

My sister is a musician, shes sings, plays guitar and writes all her own music, she always tells me that i don't plug her album enough and i should make her a music video...sometimes i feel she, like so many others, may overlook the work that goes into animation especially in music video orientated ones..at an average of 3Min's a video, and for come out any way descent, with a crew of one man...realistically takes weeks if you want to look even remotely presentable, and taking a few weeks to do work of that kind unpaid while i have college work to do as well is just..well it ain't happening, not to say i will never do it just not right now. anyway i did however through a little something together for her in about half an hour or so which actually ended up being one of the better bits of animation principals iv done, but that's another story.

also its funny cause im actually helping composite and animate a music video for my friends end of year film, but that's college related so it doesn't count, ill throw up some stills and the finished piece when were done. In Fact it has actually been about 16hours since i wrote that last sentence NO JOKE! the music video is due in 2hours and iv been up all night compositing, after effects was being a bitch and my own computer suffers from battle fatigue but we've been running on coffee and "meanies" all night, so although on the verge of crashing we may pull this off.

TO fully Explain this situation which lead to the creation of this video we will have to travel back in time 2 weeks ago...on a night, seemingly like any other, i think it was Friday.... it started with 6 beers for a fiver and a laugh around the table, just 3 men, a pack a card and some beer. Soon it became evident that we may be left wanting for more alcohol so off to the offy we went and a bottle a vodka was purchased...and soon devoured. it was 1 o'clock in the mourning, we were out of drink ( and had had only enough to create the craving), then i remembered i had another bottle of vodka at our friends house 15 mins away...we headed out. after much wall jumping and general gallivanting we arrived and within moments we had gone now carrying 2 bottles of vodka and a bottle of Capt Morgans...the vodka went first when we got back to my flat. the night proceeded drunkenly and uneventfully till about 8 o clock when someone got the bright idea that we should go watch a sunrise at kiliney hill....i was not willing...but after some prodding and dragging i seemed to emerge onto the street only equipped with a dressing gown and my wits..and a bottle of Capt Morgans...and a bottle of Baily's...and so that is where this lovey tribute to friendship and manliness comes from, i believe its a true masterpiece.

what i find funny is the sun had already risen when i got out of the flat.

The reason i feel this video is a gift from god in that it conception is pure chance, me and rira didn't want to go through all the pictures Will took so we through them into after effects as an image sequence and then decided to through a bit of music over it and ,DON'T ASK, the village people album was all i had on my laptop.....the end rendered result was this video.. it is pure unaltered and genuine...ALL HAIL THE GALLIVANT!

Allow me to level with you, im tired and as a result my line quality has suffered and the colouring of the following drawings is just slap dash which i suppose if i wanted could pass off as artistic choice but il just be honest im not bothered to colour in detail... your might say "why dint you do this when you wernt so tired?" and the answer is sometimes when you start drawing an idea and get a run at it you just wanna through it up as is and for once not have to think about detail quality or any of it, its for the sake of it sometimes you need to just forget the in between the lines attitude( quite literally)...a stand alone unquestioned. and so i give in short what i want when i grow up....

I finished my 3D/2D project and now have nothing to do...until Monday, cool.
i fell i did relatively successful although giving the project again with the knowledge i have now i reckon it be easily twice is good. but il let you look.

A Short Love Story
There youst to be this girl who worked in a chipper near by. I imagined she must be very unhappy at her job as although she was VERY pretty she always looked really blank, stare in to space like. Ah how i would imagine storming that chipper and rescuing her from the greasy future that awaited her, dealing with drunken cowboys and undesirables...in fact i felt especially strongly about this every Thursday night after we had or usawell weekly night out to the pub, the time would come (usually around 1 or 2) when the hunger for both chips and romance would well up inside and so we would head down to the chipper, it later became clear that i was not the only one with these intentions... others had this same so called disillusion that this girl was in need the saving, and so head helled high i would burst through those chip doors walk to the counter look that girl right in those big vacant eyes and say....uhem...chips please, and...a coke.
il get her next time

tragically she is now not working there at it is only to obvious that some other has indeed swept her away...ah foiled again.

Thank you David for the Wacom it is truly fantastic and terribly entertaining, even if i haven't "quite" mastered it yet.

When John Canemaker came to lecture us on animation the first week was very good as was the second, the only difference (besides the fact that the man had become noticeable tireder) was alot of people who went in animation started coming to the lectures which makes sense as he was taking about Film and Story so of course it be useful for the script writers, film students and even photography to show up...what i couldn't figure out is why the phycology students came?

i have a project i regret to say i have neglected slightly..even now i should be doing it but as it happens ...I'm not..but i will. here's a doodle of my main character Mr. Golem

Living where i do i often, not as much since i stopped riding the bus everyday, see the all types of people. it used be everyday when i came to college a beraz of peroxide blond schoolgirls would storm the bus screaming and giggling talking at 100 miles an hour wearing way to much orange foundation and skirts turned up so far they were more like belts, either anorexic looking or obese, although i always found this to be one the funnier parts of the day, the stuff they blab on about was hilarious and when you felt you were about to break with laughter you turn your headphones up, LOUD. similarly i think i some of the skankyest woman whilst heading home late everyday. it was crazy, underwear and fake tan everywhere, and vodka bottles being pulled out of GIANT handbags, you could of hid a child in those things!.... i miss riding the bus

Right i realise it....sorry I'm having a laughing fit ,my friend Anne is staying in the spare bed, (which happens to be the single bed next to my single bed to make up a supposed double)and shes snoring like chewbaka the wooky. so today we didn't do much but sleep and sketch. William (my roommate) and i decided to go for a swim in the local swimming pool, god knows how many miles away. as it happens it didt matter, we took Anne with us but of course she didn't have a BIKINI OR A ONESY although we figured shed have a 'ONSEY she that kinda girl....so somehow after or second attempt to find one at 8 in the night, we settled on buying two cases of beer instead which lead to THE NIGHT OF 40 BEERS..and it was fun I'm still a tad disoriented although over 13 beers and a couple of shots of gin dint seem to throw me of blogs/comics. and having said that ON WITH THE COMIC

BUS GIRL
IT was a cold march Wednesday and it had actually been snowing for awhile which was very odd. i had been in college and was now heading home on the bus.there was just me and this girl there. i wasn't rely paying much attention but then see kept looking up at me and smiling, hmmm i thought, so i smiled back and i kinda went like that till i got off the bus.

as i walked into my house wondering about the incident, it suddenly occurred to me what it was all about, when i say suddenly occurred by the way i mean when i saw myself in the mirror it was pretty damn obvious. i had been in life drawing earlier that day and had been drawing with charcoal, theres alot to be said for washing your hands thoroughly after drawing with charcoal, as a result of not doin this i found myself with quite the blackened face....

in my opinion it was just rude she didn't tell me

I am busy, very busy and it has been a very interesting week for many reasons i would love to elaberate on but currently havent the time too...so i present to you MY LIFE IN THUMBNAILS! because thats exactly how its felt all week.

1. Dyslexia project is due soon and i have to get a serious move on as there have been far to many distractions this week. im animating a little ninja who helps break up words, il post the video next week.

2. I went to Copper Faced Jacks for the first time even though iv been walking past it for about three years....i think it might be another three years before i go again.

3.I finally saw Gertie the dinasour, Winsor McKay was a genius...you all should too and watch out for jumbo.

4.Oscar winner, Animating leg end and general nice guy John Canemaker is lectureing my class for two weeks(we just finnished the first week). normally we get someone of much lower status to lecture for a day but amazinly we got him and he said hed only do it if he got to teach us for two weeks...iv lernt more theory in this week then in three years of college... and he also looked at my line test the loely scientist above, so i can now claim my work has been crited by an oscar winner, sweet!..although he did laugh alot at it..with me not at..i hope.

5.i keep ending up with bottles of Blossom hill

6. Walking through the ran with my friends Anne and Will in a lovely esstate we came across a stack of porn in the middle of the footpath...

MY WEDNESDAY NIGHT...
i accompanied my friends to a party. in brief we were all having fun with all the people there when one of the girls decided she needed to get some food. now its a dodgy district and its pisssing rain and when she asked if anyone wanted to go i felt like saying i would for chivalry and point...but it seemed strange as i didnt really know her so i let it go

AT which point EVERYONE turned on me and said why didnt you go with her, to which i was like "wha?"..and further sent out of the apartment to catch up.

i ran the stairs, to the front door

ONLY TO BE BEATEN BY THE FRONT LOCK//i couldnt open the door! it was crazy i couldnt even figure out how to open the door. so i went back upstairs at which poit everyone told me i was now responsible for the wellbeing of the girl and that if anything happened i was to blame, they also agreed the frnt door is confusing.

wel when she did finally come back with her food, she was soaking, i mean like drowned, causeing puddles as she walked kinda soaking....so to be honest as much as i now hate doors, im still pretty happy with the fact that i couldnt get outside

Well it started when we were given a project on Dyslexia, and we were shown the previous years submissions Now as it happens were very familiar with last years submissions we've watched them many time BUT it just so happens that after they were submitted to the people at Dyslexia awareness, some of em came back a little different, one impaticular, my friend Wills. His film originally had some nice pis take moments but that was they way he wanted to make it and it didn't take from the message, but when we watched it the bastards had edited those bits out..and BADLY...and he only found out when we told him.so i made my own little tribute.

Firstly i have been trying to save off my beard for the past week for one reason or another, but every time i try to something gets in the way.. like this week.
Monday: decide to finally get rid of beard it has grown to much
Tuesday: went to shop to buy shaving foam, man gave me foam from shelf got home discovered it was in fact not shaving foam but deodorant, now my hands smell of "Gillette 3X protxction System" and they don't sweat.
Wednesday: BOUGHT FOAM YAAA, to tired to save meant to go out Thursday but Will shave before i leave no doubt
Thursday: worked late didn't get to home and shave,had to shower at a friends....heres were it becomes funny... got to town had drinks, went to club totally forgot i have no id cause i lost my wallet all my cards and 100 quid a couple of weeks ago, course there iding at the door, my mates go in and all i can say to the bouncer is " aw i don't have any id" bouncer looks at me and says " you've got a fuckin full beard you don't need id" i say thanks and run along...

SO THIS WEEK I HAVE A “MEDIA 1” PROJECT DUE...
Basically I have to do a load of research on a topic that’s recent in the news and from this topic and the MASS of research come up with a 20- 40 second animation considering layout and sound...not too bad although there’s a lot to cover. My research involves corruption and scandals but while doing this I misspelled a certain phrase although I have to say the mental image it left me with was pretty funny SO ON WITH THE COMIC......

Cubicles, How Do YOU feel about em? Although I don’t mind them too much id prefer to not use them if I can avoid... for a few different reasons but here is the main one, it’s basically the epitome of awkward silence. It s fine if you’re the only one in there but when ya got a neighbour ...things can get a little... quiet, so thank God for toilet talkers (having said that I hate the guy who decides to talk to you at the urinal while you’re trying to pee or when pats you in the back AHHH annoying) or the loud hand dryers, SO this is what I propose, very simple, Music, just a radio in the bathrooms.

I fear I may be involved in a revolution depending on the results o f this Lisbon treaty vote. I personally am not very political, I don’t understand politics, I’m not sure I want to understand politics, and every time i try to understand politics it results in mass confusion, loss of heart and a headache... this treaty is no different BUT my friend Anita feels very differently, she does seem to understand it and she makes a seriously persuasive argument. If this vote comes back yes then that is possibly the last we shall see of each other folks as I will more than likely be dragged to the undergrounds in some form of revolt against the government! Jumping over walls, covertly attacking, dodging, diving....or maybe not...

Was out late last night (partying like the party animal that i am, and so today I'm a little " fragile"... now as we know summertime can be a glorious breeding ground for love, lust and like but sometime...in fact most times its very confusing and last night for some reason seemed to be the grand sum of colliding relationships, not a bad way to end the summer a little drama is always good.... SO HERE'S THE RUN DOWN WITH HELPFUL STICK PICTURE....

Girl A likes Boy A, BUT Boy A thinks Girl A is a little Crazy
Now in what we can only imagine as an act of sympaty mixed with a little sillyness BoyB tells GirlA "Of course BoyA likes You!" and BoyC in a rather to unsuttle way gives out to BoyB for leading GirlA on
Meanwhile GirlB, GirlA best friend, is changing her affections at 100miles an hour first she wants BoyD then she wants BoyE, who in Turn would like GirlC who likes BoyF and thanks to the help of BoyC is now with BoyF, Which doesnt bother BoyE to much...
So GirlB doesnt have BoyE or BoyD so she crys at parties instead and GirlA has to take her home.
BoyB and BoyC become confused but try to stay positive, Boy C goes onto explain hes had a rather poor run at this summer lovin bussiness, you see....
BoyC liked GirlF, but GirlF ran away with BoyG
so in good summer fashion he moved on
BoyC liked GirlE and it was going well till she ran away with BoyH
BoyC is left throughly confused
So BoyC turned to the affections of GirlH Who actually went away with BoyA leading to a Very upset GirlA confused BoyC Crying GirlB and four happy couples
ON WITH THE COMIC....

Although GirlG didnt come in anywhere in this love octagonal i imagine shed have something to say had she been there

Doctor gave me antibiotics...they make me a little dizzy and im not ment to drink...i still did a little, but just a little...anyway ON WITH THE COMIC..

When i moved to the city for college i wrote "10 rules for surving in the city"..perhaps i shall re post them here when i get a chance, in the meanwhile here is the alternative With Captions!!! We Fight Crime Presents.....

1)ADAPT:Visually everything is greener in the country and the air is cleaner (iv also noticed seagulls are bigger)

2)Learn to live without basic necessity's

3)Your choice of pub is limited, if you make an ass outta yourself you cant just always find another one, unless you go 8 miles over to the nearest neighbouring town

4)PRIVATE MATTERS = PUBLIC GOSSIP

5)If you dont understand the accent, look as if your trying hard whether to agree or not , then finish with a undecided " NIH" for good measure

6)The country is an anomaly of time! Everything worth talking about " Oh Must of been 20years ago"

7)Going about unnoticed is impossible as everyone knows everyone

8)A good night out in the country requires alcohol

9)A Good night in in the country may require more Alcohol

10) i cant stress this enough, if you are a stranger DO NOT START A FIGHT WITH A LOCAL, country folk are clannish people and will aid even the most disliked members of there community to oppose "The Outsiders"

Hello all, first things first( obviously or it be second)VERY SPECIAL THANKS to the lovely Miss Rosa Ospina, author of "Rosa in Wonderland" http://rosadustheinternet.blogspot.com/ , for the lovely link she left on her page which sends you here to my page. She in fact is the "we" in We Fight Crime and model to my rock star, her immense wit is only matched by her immense shoe collection.
RIGHT ON WITH THE COMIC.....

So iv been kinda sick this week took four days off work to recover and iv still got a chesty cough but il live im sure, so due to this i ain't been out much to observe those little things we see from day to day to fuel some creativity but we carry on regardless. The night before i took ill i did however learn once more that God has a sense of humour... Iv been hanging out with this German girl( not the lesbian) and its not what ya think she got a boyfriend in fact she mentions him frequently, so she knows people around but she seems to cling to me which i didnt really mind until that night. To anyone who has seen me flirt it is hilarious because i cant, i should been born in courting days to spare the social humiliation, anyway i was kinda flirting with this other girl i know and it was going well until for reason the German girl jumped out from no where, grabbed me by the shoulders and went " HAY BOYFRIEND" to which i uncomfortably laughed and lost my train of flirt altogether...so i go from no girls to two girls, one on either side of the table next to me, god giveth and taketh and then god hath a good laugh bout it!

When we were in college or lecture Laura played us some Tom waits tunes to get some imagery for a illustration project, because we are not heathens we all knew who Tom waits is, the same can not be said for the first years who when played to shouted "IS THAT THE COOKIE MONSTER?" actually turns out they sound rather alike...

and now a stream of rather silly comic strips i drew on the bus home

Im currently waiting for a friend to finnish work so we can go burn her now invalid laser card , why? cause apperently thats what you do with now invalid laser cards, anyway on with the comic....
i drew these as part of my portfolio when i applied for college and i always intended to make more then two, more then likel resorting to just parodies of movies, so here are the too i did make.

i just remebered i was ment to meet a small german lesbian women an hour ago so we could discuss insurance over a pint....whoops

You ever heard the expression "Big Fish in a Small Bowl" well that seems to be me of late. Either people have started to ask me to do various posters and signs because they like my work or because they know I'm cheap, and by cheap i mean generally free. Either way I'm in demand. The worst part ain't the drawing its how vague people can be when they ask you to do something and when you ask for a little more detail they go" Whatever your the artist" i hate that line. SO here are some of the things iv been doing this summer back home.

Two Tidy Towns Posters

A RNLI comic taking the piss out of the recently dubbed "Supercrew"

My cousin Sally is a defence lawyer in the army and has so been sent to Afghanistan this was to cheer her up

My boss is leasing a pub called the "Jolly Roger" among other businesses he runs, but he got me to make a poster for it, ill get a photo of it in the real world when they put it up

The local regatta committee asked if id do the t shirt design this year but i didn't get back to them in time i had regular work to go too and was way too busy to think of designs...would have liked to do it tho

local resteraunt and gardens asked me to make a poster for the play they are doing this year, as well as the credits here is the poster, i aint done the credits yet

and finally i did the map for a local feastival called Cork X Southwest... i also did the posters for the line-up but just as i finnished i was told it was ok Murphys were making there own

im sure il have more requests soon..i have a list...
